Let's celebrate the end of the world as we know it on a friendly ride with our Steady counterparts, the Hares.
This is an out and back to Madison Park. There will be a coffee and pastry break in Madison Park before returning to Renton via Rainier Avenue. Riding at a true brisk pace, the hounds may take a somewhat longer and hillier route to make it more of a challenge catching the hares.
After the ride, plan to enjoy some post-apocalypse/ post-ride food and drink at the Terrible Beauty in Renton. If you bring your Mayan Calender Daytimer the group can sign your Day 1 page.
It's possible that all the end of the world calculations are off by a day, so if the world ends during the ride the following rules apply:
In case of zombie attack, the ride will exceed the advertised pace.
In case of wolf attack during snowpocalypse, stragglers will be ... don't be a straggler.
In case of tsunami, your bamboo bike will function as a floatation device.
So bring your garlic, zombie stick, face mask, water wings and anything else you think might help. And remember, in case of rapture, the ride leader gets first pick of any abandoned bikes. |
