| Ride Description: |
| Join us for a brisk 60 mile ~3300 feet ascent bike ride from Newport Hills to Black Diamond via SE May Valley Rd & Ravensdale. We will stop for a short (~20 minutes) lunch break in Black Diamond. We will ride back via Lake Morton-Berrydale, Covington & Renton. I plan to ride at a brisk pace (16-18 mph) on the flats, but will be riding with my wife on our tandem which means a slower pace going up but faster going down. Please be at the Newport Hills Park-and-Ride (exit #9 on I-405) by 9:45; we will roll promptly at 10. NOTE: there are no restroom facilities at the start. |
