| Event Description: |
| This Saturday, CoolMom will be kicking off their Think Outside the Car (TOC) project. CoolMom is a local non-profit that helps families reduce their carbon footprint. The Think Outside the Car project, funded in part by a Neighborhood Matching Fund award of Seattle Department of Neighborhoods, supports schools in creating No-Idle campaigns, Walking School Buses and Bike programs. CoolMom's TOC Steering Committee has organized this event to get people excited about the project and garner support. This event is free to the public.
Logisitics:
Date: Saturday, April 28
Time: 10 a.m. to 2pm
Location: Westside School play area (north side of the building) on 34th and Holden Street
Some of the fun activities include: Cascade Bicycle Club Kid's Bike Rodeo, Undriver Licensing Station, Bike Works demos and collection of used bikes for kids, bike decorating, bike and walking parade, music by BottleRockit, Food sold by Lumpia World and Athena's and two raffles: Cycle University Bike kit and Stuffed Cakes gift certificate.
We are encouraging folks to bike, walk or take transit to this event. |
