Dear Charlie:-
...
In regard to the wheel trip-- Turner and I are making some preparations each day and hope to get away about June 8th. School closes the 5th. If the Ariel people do not agree to our proposition, I think that I shall not go, but I think they will be all right.
I expect we shall go via Renton, Franklin, Stampede Pass, Ellensburg, Coulee Ferry to Spokane. Beyond that we have not been advised as to the roads. Capt. Scott, officer in charge of Yellowstone Park, says we can "do" the Park in July, but June 1 is too early, so I think we shall hit it all right. The roads in the Park are good after June 20, but before there is too much rain and snow.
We shall go as "light" as possible, with very little extra clothing (sweater underclothes probably) and if we go at all, we shall take our time, even if I have to turn around and come back when we get to Harper's Field.
In my letter home today I said I should probably spend most of my vacation awheel, and might visit Yellowstone Park.
So Long -
Will
Try to make some arrangements with the Ashtabula Co. papers, but don't have them say anything about it before we start.
