A Letter from Livingston

Livingston

Dear Chas:-

We left Bozeman at 1:00pm today and had a 3 hrs. run over to Livingston, 35 miles. We came over through Bozeman pass. After we got to the summit of the divide we coasted most of the way for 10 miles, at least 8 of it. Our day's work has been very easy. Turner has gone to call on acquaintences 6 mi. out of town and is coming in tonight or in the morning.

We shall get into the park tomorrow and spend a few days during which time YOU WILL NOT hear from me.

I got your letter no. 4 here at Livingston, and the card forwarded from Helena. In you card and letter you speak of not hearing from me for some time, last being from Ellensburg. Long before then you know why you didn't hear from me. We were three very long days away from a post office. The P.I. letters explains it very well. I Have not heard from home since leaving Spokane. You will have time to address me at Miles City after receipt of this, possibly. If not, you can catch us at Dennison or Bismark.

We are NOT hurrying as you will see by our staying in Butte three nights. We shall come back to Livingston from the park, leaving all our extra weight, except camera, here.

So long.

Will
