Stolen Bike Listing
What is the a stolen bike list?
The Stolen Bike List is a text-only weekly email that is sent to local shops, police officers and concerned citizens. It includes all the stolen bikes listed during the week, and recipients are encouraged to print out the list and display it in their shop or place of business.
How do I sign up?
Go to the subscription page and enter your email address in the subscription form. You can also use this page to unsubscribe.
How do I get my stolen bike posted to the list?
Send an email to stolenbikes@cascadebicycleclub.org. Messages are complied into a weekly digest that is sent to subscribers of the list. A listing should include as many details as possible:
- Description of the bike: make, model, size, color, distinguishing features
- Serial number
- Where it was stolen
- When it was stolen
- How it was locked
- URL to page with photos (Please do not embed URL.)
- Your contact information
When does it mail?
The goal is Monday night.
Will you sell my email address?
Absolutely not. Cascade Bicycle Club values your involvement in this project. We never sell or otherwise share email addresses.
Does it cost to list my bike?
No way! This is a free community service brought to you by Cascade Bicycle Club, a 501c3 nonprofit organization. Twice per year we will tell you a little about the Club that is bringing this message to you. Please consider joining to support the work we do, including making this service possible.
Geographical limitations
These listings are primarily focused on the Seattle/King County area and are limited to Washington State. If you live outside of Washington, please consider starting your a stolen bike list for your community. It's a great community service!
