Good turnout with 19 riders. Weather was cool and overcast at start, before the
15 mile mark it turned nice and partly cloudy. Scenic Beach State Park, Barbie's
for lunch, Tahuya Forest, and Belfair State Park were highlights enjoyed by all.
While riding in the Tahuya Forest there was a silent reverance observed by
everyone, a truly lovely area. Ride split into various speeds and regrouped
frequently. 4 members of MS 150 Team Acropolis were present and hopefully we
recruited another new member.

MS 150 Team Acropolis is still accepting members!

Well Rob, I did it to you again, disappeared during your ride. We just started riding faster and faster,
there was Bob on a Marinoni, and Neil and John. One of them on an Orbea, and the other on a titanium bike and me on my home made Raleigh R-700. I must admit Bob was faster than me and he pulled me away from John and Neil on several occasions but mostly we had a little pace line going. We stopped at Belfair Park for a few minutes, decided the rest would be at least a half hour behind and we all wanted to get home. I was in front at one point and got a thorn in my tire and thankfully they all stopped to help fix it and I am sure it wasn't more than 7 minutes before we were going again. We had quite a headwind but we were at the ferry dock at 4 when it pulled in. By the way the max speed on my speedometer read 49. Someday I am going to stay with your group all the way to the end of the ride. Allan.

I just commute and tour the
Seattle area but I have big
ambitions to bicycle in far
away places
