Imagine one seamless direct connection from Green Lake to Magnuson Park --- it’s in the draft Seattle Bike Master Plan Update and it's exactly the type of project that would provide people of all ages and abilities with the safety and comfort to bike across the city.

If completed, the proposed separated bike lane on NE 65th would connect Green Lake, Roosevelt, Ravenna and Magnuson and all the local businesses, schools, parks and future Roosevelt light rail station along the way.  What an amazing opportunity!

However, a few entrenched interests are pushing hard to stop this important project. The Seattle Department of Transportation has received more comments on the NE 65th Street protected bike lane than any other project proposed in the draft Bicycle Master Plan Update.

But what we hear from neighbors like you in Roosevelt, Ravenna and Green Lake is much different.  We know people want and need this project.

We need to make sure that your voice is also heard by SDOT, Mayor McGinn and Councilmembers. Click here to send an email in support of a protected bike lane on NE 65th Street >>

Unfortunately, a couple weeks ago, the Northeast District Council has sent a letter to SDOT opposing this important project.

We need to make sure such letters are countered by a mountain of support from people like you – people who have a vision for a connected city with safe streets.
