Light up the night! Free LED light sets throughout October

Lights on, bike ninjas!

Cascade Bicycle Club is giving away 100 light sets throughout the month of October.

Starting yesterday afternoon, and continuing throughout the month, Cascade Bicycle Club’s Bicycle Ambassadors will be out distributing the LED light sets at pop-up Energizer Stations throughout Seattle, in Shoreline, White Center, Redmond and Edmonds. Stations will be set up along popular bike routes during evening rush hour, when bicycle commuter traffic is heaviest and twilight sets in.

Having bike lights isn’t just a good idea; it’s the law. Seattle Traffic Code states that every bicycle, when in use during the hours of darkness, must be equipped with a white light on the front, and a red reflector or light on the rear.

Our Bike Ambassadors will be outfitting those in need of a light with XLC’s 5 LED lighting system and batteries to ensure they’re visible for the dark months ahead.
