Ravenna Boulevard paving again rescheduled

The repaving of NE Ravenna Boulevard between NE 65th Street and 15th Avenue NE has had to be rescheduled several times due to inclement weather (as well as the tragic shooting at the Café Racer).  Unfortunately, the work has been delayed again, this time due to a scheduling conflict with the asphalt supplier.   However, assuming the rains don’t interfere, the remaining repaving should be installed this Thursday and Friday, June 14-15.

The contractor plans to complete the remaining repaving of the eastbound lanes from 8th Avenue NE to Cowen Pl NE tomorrow, and the westbound lanes from Cowen Place to NE 65th Street on Friday.  Paving is weather dependent and cannot be done in the rain.

Despite the delays, the project remains on schedule and will be completed by the end of summer.  NE Ravenna Boulevard from Green Lake to 15th Avenue NE is being repaved.  More information on the project can be found at the project website.
