RSVP: Frequently Asked Questions
Events Message Board
This electronic bulletin board serves as a forum for Cascade events. It is for RSVP questions and commentary and also for other events. It is designed to put event questioners in contact with experienced event riders.
Q: Can I leave my bike in a safe, locked location on Saturday night even if I am not staying at the official hotel?
A: Yes All RSVP participants can store their bikes in the bike corral at the Coast Plaza Hotel until Sunday morning at 9:30 am.
Q: What other options do I have to come back in Monday with my bike?
A: You can take the train back with your bike but you need to reserve that directly with Amtrak. You can also have us take your bike back on Sunday (bike only ticket plus one day storage at Cascade Bicycle Club) and then you come back on Monday via the train. Or you can have some friends meet you in Vancouver and make a vacation out of it.
Q: Can I buy parking for the weekend on the day of the event?
A: Yes, you can. Personnel will be at the parking/start line entrance directing you where to park for the weekend. All cars must be moved by 5 p.m. on Sunday night.
Q: Can I buy a bus pass on the day of the event?
A: No, we can not sell bus passes on the day of event; we must have a list of riders that will be taking the bus to the border the day before.
Q: Is there a one day option for RSVP?
A: No, RSVP is only a two day event.
Q: I can’t find my serial number for my bike what do I do now? A: We know that some bikes do not have serial numbers. If your bike does not have a serial number, then on the registration form include all information about your bike (make, model, color and any other distinguishing marks) that would help us and you to identify your bike.
Q: I have not heard from Western Washington University yet on my overnight accommodations?
A: Since we do not handle WWU and what they set up, we have been working with them to have them notify riders that they are registered for the night. WWU has informed us that they will send out an email or card or phone call to all riders that register with them.
Q: Can a minor ride RSVP unaccompanied?
A: Riders under the age of 18 are welcome. However, Cascade Bicycle Club recommends to parents that they provide constant adult supervision for riders under the age of 18. Minors must have the, "Consent to Medical Care and Treatment of a Minor" form on the back of their number bib signed by a parent or legal guardian.

Distractions such as music players and radios are also not permitted. If it is necessary to check, use, or answer a cell phone, cyclists must first pull off the road or trail and stop.
